Summer and Winter hillwalking on MeallChuaich

Meall Chuaich is a lumpy Munro which lacks many distinctive features; it is however a good viewpoint for the Ben Alder range, upper Badenoch and Strathspey.
Starting in either Dalwhinnie or at the layby on the A9 at Cuaich. There is the option to mountain bike in for the first section.
The course
A day of guided walking up what is probably the easiest Munro in the Newtonmore area.
Level tracks for the approach followed by an eroded path up the hill itself make this one of the simpler Munro summits.

Moderate day.

Winter hillwalking on MeallChuaich
As the summer course, but hopeful in winter condition in a great area to develop your winter skills with ice axe, crampons, navigation and snowshoes. You will need personal hill walking equipment suitable for winter conditions.
